HCL Technologies has delivered on its promises and released the latest version of the Domino® and Notes® products acquired from IBM. Version 11 of Domino® and Notes® will be released on December 4, 2019, as part of the comprehensive HCL COLLABORATION SOLUTIONS product suite.
The primary target group here is again developers and system administrators, but also any employee who deals with data traffic, storage, mailing, and many other things.
Here we summarize some new features and give an outlook on the long-awaited version 11 of the popular applications for smart working, process optimizations for better communication within the company and overall better organization and workflow.
HCL Domino 11 includes a number of new applications, such as simplified installations through automation with Flexera InstallAnywhere, directory synchronization with Microsoft Active Directory, integration of Amazon Web Services-compatible storage services for attachments (DAOS Tier 2), and a new web service interface (Proton).
The HCL Domino Designer allows you to create your own integrated business applications and customize them for your operations. Security standards can also be configured to meet your specific needs. The HCL Domino Administrator provides a clear and comprehensive overview of processes, extending to the entire business structure. It enables easy system maintenance and monitoring.
The universal email and database client HCL Notes is being further improved. The document-oriented system already supports numerous services and integrated user management. New icons, symbols, and many practical enhancements improve usability. Overall, the interface is being redesigned for greater clarity, meaning certain applications are no longer immediately visible but are instead placed in subcategories for a less cluttered user experience.
Furthermore, it works with many web protocols and web services. In terms of corporate communications, HCL Verse also comes into play, which not only improves internal email communication.

Sametime® and Nomad perfectly complement the HCL Collaboration product bundle. Many companies are extensively networked and have a presence at multiple locations, as well as using mobile devices. Thanks to HCL Nomad, all applications can be used securely and quickly on the go. Since this involves using multiple mobile devices, HCL Sametime ensures secure operation when switching between platforms.
