What can specialized HCL apps do?
Application automation and the development of interface programs are two application areas of such low-level programming in software development. They simplify the import and export of file content and fundamentally contribute to improving data exchange with established enterprise systems (legacy systems).
HCL's specialized apps also run on various administrative programming languages and, depending on the system, can be used on Linux, Mac, or Windows for administrative tasks and more. One example from our portfolio is PowerShell, which, as open source, offers a surprisingly wide range of possibilities and enhances scripting and command-line environments. When assessing your company, we carefully examine which implementations and strategies are relevant and important for you, and then also provide training for your employees on how to use the new tools.
Special HCL Apps under the new umbrella of HCL Technologies
The range of functions offered by HCL's specialized apps and other applications is impressive, and their continued development is guaranteed. Of particular importance to you is the outlook on the current state and future of these apps and tools. A collaboration between IBM and HCL Technologies, an Indian IT services company, began in 2018, with HCL taking over these products. As of July 2019, several IBM products are part of HCL and are continuously being developed and are now under their support.
