Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Jira Service Management, and Atlassian Jira Work Management are web applications for bug tracking, troubleshooting, and operational project management. Historically, Atlassian Jira applications were primarily used in software development. However, the solution has since become established in non-technical areas of many companies. Typical use cases include task management, requirements management, and helpdesk support. Atlassian Jira's workflow capabilities enable it to be used for process organization, process management, and process improvement. Numerous templates facilitate getting started with the applications.

Atlassian Jira Service Management – Market-leading product for Enterprise Service Management
Agile methods are becoming increasingly prevalent in everyday work. In service management, this approach supports the implementation of service requests, incident resolution, and problem and change management. Atlassian has packaged these best practices into templates.
IT service management
The IT Service Management template was specifically designed for IT teams and provides a practical introduction to service management. It includes powerful IT service management categories with specialized functions and helps you quickly resolve incidents, approve changes, and fix problems.
General Service Management
Deliver excellent service with a service desk that supports your team's work. Employees can log requests in one central location, quickly answer questions, and find answers themselves using articles linked to request forms (this knowledge base is now available as a free Confluence application in Jira Service Management).
Self-service for employees and customers
Set up a knowledge base with Confluence where teams can find answers to frequently asked questions without having to contact support. Direct employees to relevant articles before they submit requests, freeing up your agents to focus on more complex issues.

Securely manage incoming tasks via central queues. Various sources for requests can be defined (emails, chat, customer portal, and other channels). Incoming tasks can be easily tracked, selected, and assigned.
Customer satisfaction reports can be set up as needed. Support your team's work with new reports and dashboards, and use these metrics to improve and optimize your service experience.
Atlassian Jira Work Management – Project management for enterprise teams
Originating from software development, Atlassian has consistently aligned its Jira Work Management application with agile teams across the entire organization. This means that marketing, HR, finance, legal, and sales also benefit from its powerful tools.
Consolidate and track tasks: You can manage, track, and update comprehensive project details seamlessly. With detailed project activity data in one central location, you stay informed about every moving part.

Seamless collaboration: You can prioritize, schedule, and assign all tasks, and then easily see who the task owner is, check the status, and collaborate with your team members.
Atlassian Jira – The development tool for agile teams
Do you want to better plan and track your projects in the future? Atlassian Jira is the leading software for agile process and project management. Atlassian Jira allows you to create tasks of various types (e.g., epics, user stories, bugs, or tasks), structure them, prioritize them, and track their progress. By implementing Atlassian Jira, you enable your company to have professional, systematic, and effective error, task, and quality management.
Flexible Kanban boards make it easier to maintain an overview, even in complex projects, and roadmaps provide a comprehensive view. Simple or multi-stage workflows control the flow of information. Sound complicated? With tried-and-tested templates, you too can get started with modern project management. Kanban helps teams visualize their work, limit the work currently in progress, and maximize efficiency. Increase planning flexibility, reduce bottlenecks, and promote transparency throughout the entire development cycle with the Kanban template.
Track tasks with a simple board: Task items are visually represented on your Kanban board, allowing teams to monitor work status at any time. The columns on the board represent the steps in your team's workflow – from "To Do" to "Done".

Use the board to limit current tasks: Set the maximum number of tasks allowed in each status of a workflow with WIP (Work in Progress) limits. By limiting ongoing tasks, you can improve team focus and better identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Continuous improvement through agile reporting: One of Kanban's core principles is the optimization of continuous delivery workflows. Agile reports, such as cumulative flowcharts, help ensure your team consistently contributes to maximizing your company's value creation.
